Frequently Asked Questions

You will meet Michelle, the Play Therapist and spend time in the playroom together. There are lots of things you can choose to do. There are toys, dress up's, games, arts and craft and sensory play. You can choose what you would like to play with. Our rules are that we keep each other safe and we look after the toys and equipment. We don't worry about making a mess!

Play Therapy can help to understand and manage tricky or big feelings. Your parents and Michelle will talk to you about how often you will come to the playroom, and they will let you know when your time together is finishing.

Michelle will sometimes talk to your parents about how things are going. This is so they can also help you with any big feelings. She won't tell them what you have been playing with unless you say you would like that to happen.  If we think that you or someone else is being hurt, we will need to let your parents, and sometimes other grown ups know. Michelle will tell you if she needs to do this.

Yes! It is up to you to decide what you would like to tell people. You can tell people what you do, or you can keep that to yourself.
